Aug. 31

4:18 p.m. Public Safety received a fax from the office of IDEA reporting an alleged sexual assault exploitation that occurred off campus and was not previously reported to Public Safety. Officers were notified.

5:42 p.m. Public Safety received a fax from the IDEA office reporting alleged unwanted physical contact that occurred on campus that was not previously reported to Public Safety. Officers were notified.

Sept. 1

7:37 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at Tom’s Pizza. A citation was issued for no registration plate and no registration receipt.

10:48 a.m. A caller reported that food caught fire and was extinguished at Wells Hall. Officers, Murray Fire Department, the state fire marshal and Facilities Management were notified and a fire report was taken.

Sept. 2

9:25 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at North 16th Street and Farmer Street. Burls Towing was notified and the driver was cited and arrested for no registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card, operating on a suspended or revoked operators license and residents not to use license of other state.

1:11 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at Gilbert Graves Avenue and the roundabout. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, second offense and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in vehicle and was cited for no registration plate and failure of owner to maintain insurance.

Sept. 3

2:33 a.m. A caller reported a sexual assault that occurred off campus. Officers and the Murray Police Department were notified. An information report was taken.

4:28 p.m. A person reported a maintenance issue at Winslow Dining Hall via the LiveSafe App. The Central Heating and Cooling Plant was notified.

Sept. 4

10:27 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop in the Curris Center Parking Lot. A verbal warning was issued for failure to wear a seatbelt.

12:25 p.m. A caller reported being stuck on the elevator in Blackburn Science Building. Officers, Murray Fire Department and the Central Heating and Cooling Plant were notified. An information report was taken.

Sept. 5

10:28 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at Chestnut Street and Regents Residential College. The driver was served a warrant and arrested for flagrant non-support.

12:17 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at 16th Street and Miller Avenue. A verbal warning was issued to passenger for failure to wear a seatbelt.

Sept. 6

10:22 p.m. Public Safety received a sprinkler tamper alarm from the alarm center computer. The Central Heating and Cooling Plant was notified.

11:15 p.m. A caller reported a noise complaint in the 700 block of College Courts. Officers were notified.
