Participating from Murray State University were: Rebecca Allen, Samantha Barth, Jo Bennett, Alliance marketing officer, Emily Oliver, Michael Penner, Alliance president, D Andrew Porter, Morgan Randall, Alliance secretary, Steven Shupe, Alliance vice president, and Nancy Starks.

During the program, workshops were offered on topics including working with members of the media, creating safe schools for all, and working with the faith-based community.

The conference’s keynote was delivered by Nadine Smith, Equality Florida executive director.  Jody Cofer, LGBT program coordinator and Alliance advisor, attended and co-facilitated an identity caucus for transgender and gender non-conforming individuals.  MSU Alliance is the primary student organization for LGBT and ally students.
