The Alliance held its first meeting of the spring semester on Sunday night in the Stables.
Alliance President Will Heath opened the meeting by talking about the group’s participation in All Campus Sing. They are using the theme Live, Laugh and Love to base their songs off of.
Heath said last semester’s petition for a LGBT resource center had 278 signatures.
The annual drag show will be March 1 in the Curris Center. The theme and time will be discussed at a later meeting.
Alliance is also participating in a work days on March 3 and April 7 where they clean the streets of Calloway County. Each member participating will earn 6 dollars a person an hour. The money will help the Alliance pay for various activities they put on throughout the semester.
Heath closed the meeting by organizing ideas for events later in the semester.
