Murray State’s men’s golf team captured their first win of the season at the MSU Invitational at Miller Memorial Golf Course. The Racers were led by junior Austin Knight, from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, who shot 68, 70 and 70 in three rounds of play to secure third place as an individual.

 

A University of Kentucky fan posted a video on Twitter of an old horse mascot on the sidelines of the Murray State and UK game claiming it to be the official mascot of the Racers. Murray State fans were quick to call his bluff by posting pictures of “Dunker”, the Racers’ actual team mascot. Murray State’s Barstool account had arguably the best reaction to the “phony pony”.

The Murray State’s Twitter account posted several action shots from the Murray State and UK game on Saturday afternoon. The Racers would fall to the Wildcats by a score of 48-10.

 

Murray State women’s soccer team picked up its first OVC win of the season on Thursday with a victory against the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri State.
