With the 2017 summer movie season officially over, the fall movie season is just beginning. Many more movies are being released this year but here are a few films that moviegoers will want to keep an eye out for this fall.

Blade Runner: 2049

The original “Blade Runner” received mixed reviews when it was first released in 1982. Over the years, the Ridley Scott directed film has gone on to become one of the most cherished sci-fi films of all time. Harrison Ford reprises his role as Rick Deckard in this sequel alongside a new cast that includes Ryan Gosling, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto. Being directed by Denis Villenevue, director of critically acclaimed films such as “Arrival” and “Prisoners,” this unexpected follow-up shouldn’t disappoint. “Blade Runner: 2049” is out in theaters right now.

Thor: Ragnorok

Another day, another addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This film pits Thor (Chris Hemsworth) against Hela, the Goddess of Death (Cate Blanchett.) Without his hammer, Mjonir, and imprisoned on the farthest side of the universe, Thor will need to gather an unlikely team to save his home from destruction. Thor joins forces with his untrustworthy brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston,) a fierce warrior named Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and even Bruce Banner, The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo.) Comic book fans, as well as casual viewers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe definitely won’t want to miss out on this new adventure. Thor Ragnorok hits theaters on November 3rd.

Murder on the Orient Express

There’s nothing like a good murder mystery. Based on the Agatha Christie novel, this Kenneth Branagh directed thriller tells the story of 13 passengers on the Orient Express that are slowly being killed off one by one. Everyone’s a suspect and it’s up to one detective to solve the mystery. The film features an all-star cast that includes Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Josh Gad, Daisy Ridley and many more. With great actors and Branagh behind the camera, moviegoers can expect a stylishly directed, marvelously acted mystery film. “Murder on the Orient Express” arrives to theaters on November 10th.

Justice League

At long last, the Justice League will join together in a feature film. After the success of “The Avengers,” it was only a matter of time before DC’s superhero team made it to the big screen. The DC Cinematic Universe got off to a bumpy start with “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad,” but the success of “Wonder Woman” definitely helped renew people’s faith in whatever future films would be released. After the death of Superman, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) set out to find people with special abilities to prepare for a great evil that is approaching. They end up finding Barry Allen, The Flash (Ezra Miller,) Arthur Curry, the Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Victor Stone, the Cyborg (Ray Fisher.) Viewers should expect to see plenty of action, a lot of comedy and top-notch special effects. “Justice League” assembles on November 17th.
