U.S. route 641 milling and paving continues

Milling and asphalt paving along a section of U.S. route 641 in Calloway County began Sept. 7 and is expected to take 12 days to complete as weather permits.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), the milling and paving starts at state route 1824 and Flint Road intersection at mile point 12.384. It extends northward to the Calloway-Marshall County line at mile point 17.444 for a total distance of 5.1 miles.

Flaggers will control one lane traffic with alternating flow. Motorists should be alert to the change in traffic flow.

Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the main contractor on this $1,707,539 highway improvement project, according to KYTC.
