Aug. 17

3:21 p.m. A caller reported being stuck in an elevator in Faculty Hall. Officers and the Central Heating and Cooling Plant was notified.

5:58 p.m. A caller reported a medical emergency at White Residential College. Officers, Murray Ambulance Service and Student Affairs were notified and the patient was transported by Murray Ambulance Service.

Aug. 18

11:33 a.m. A caller reported a parking complaint at New Franklin Residential College. Murray State Parking Management was notified and a citation was issued for parking in a restricted area.

11:24 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on Chestnut Street at Don Sol. A citation was issued for no brake lights, failure to produce insurance card, no registration receipt and no registration plate.

Aug. 19

4:28 p.m. A caller reported items being thrown from a vehicle at James H. Richmond Residential College. An information report was taken.

5:24 p.m. A caller reported the smell of gas in Oakley Applied Science Building. Officers, the Central Heating and Cooling Plant and Murray Gas were notified. The smell was due to a burned out pilot light and an information report was taken.

Aug.  20

1:34 a.m. Officers were advised of an intoxicated person on foot at North 13th Street and Olive Boulevard. A citation was issued for alcohol intoxication in a public place and criminal littering.

2:30 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop in the White Residential College parking lot. A citation was issued to the driver for disregarding a stop sign, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and a citation was issued to a passenger for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Aug. 21

1:26 a.m. A caller requested a welfare check at Lee Clark Residential College. Officers, Student Affairs and Murray Ambulance Services were notified. The patient was transported by Murray Ambulance Service and a medical report was taken.

6:06 p.m. A caller requested a vehicle unlock in the Roy Stewart Stadium parking lot. Officers were notified.

Aug. 22

12:10 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at Kroger and Burger King and issued a verbal warning for failure to illuminate headlights.

10:24 p.m. A caller reported the smell of marijuana at Springer Residential College. Officers were notified and an information report was taken.

Aug. 23

2:43 p.m. A caller reported a non-injury motor vehicle collision on Chestnut Street. Officers were notified and a collision report was taken.

3:23 p.m. A caller requested to speak to an officer in reference to threats. Officers were notified and a criminal report was taken for stalking 2nd degree.
