April 27

11:26 a.m. A person was reported stuck in the elevator of Blackburn Science Building. Officers and Facilities Management were notified.

10:05 p.m. Murray Police Department reported a person possibly driving under the influence at the Curris Center. Officers were notified.

April 28

10:36 a.m. The alarm center computer received a fire alarm in Hester Residential College. Officers and Facilities Management were notified. Activation was caused by steam from a hair straightener.

4:08 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at the Murray Fire Department and issued a verbal warning for not yielding to pedestrians crossing a crosswalk.

April 29

1:07 a.m. A caller reported the smell of marijuana in Hart Residential College. Officers were notified.

10:32 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop in the Heritage Hall parking lot. A citation was issued for failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to produce an insurance card and expired registration.

April 30

12:35 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at Shroat and Waldrop drives. A citation was issued for speeding 42 mph in a 25 mph zone and for possession of an open alcohol container in the vehicle.

2:35 a.m. Officers assisted the Murray Police Department with locating runaway juveniles at 16th and Miller streets. Murray Police Department was notified.

May 1

7:41 a.m. A caller reported a medical emergency at Campus Evolution Villages South. Murray Police Department and Murray Ambulance Service were notified.

10:31 p.m. A person reported a physical assault that occurred in October 2015. Officers were notified and a criminal report was taken for assault.

May 2

7:06 p.m. A person reported a parking complaint via the LiveSafe app in a parking lot near Five Points. Racer Patrol was notified and parking citations were issued.

9:02 p.m. A caller reported harassing communications at Hester Residential College. Officers were notified and a criminal report was taken.

May 3

6:09 p.m. A caller reported a medical emergency at White Residential College. Officers and Murray Ambulance Service were notified.

7:01 p.m. Central Heating and Cooling Plant notified Public Safety and Emergency Management of a fire activation at Hart Residential College. Officers and Murray Fire Department were notified.
