March 9

12:01 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at Regents Drive and Chestnut Street. A verbal warning was issued for disregarding a stop sign and failure to use a turn signal.

9:48 p.m. A caller reported a person burning a piece of paper in the Price Doyle Fine Arts Complex Zen Garden. Officers, Murray Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall’s office were notified and a report was taken.

March 10

12:09 a.m. A caller reported the smell of marijuana in College Courts, 1000 Block. Officers were notified and a report was taken.

1:25 p.m. A person reported a hit-and-run, non-injury motor vehicle collision in the Main Street parking lot. Officers were notified.

March 11

12:56 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop in the James H. Richmond Residential College parking lot. A citation was issued for improper registration plate, no registration receipt, no registration plate, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, 2nd offense and failure to produce an insurance card.

11:44 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop in the Heritage Hall parking lot. The driver was issued a citation for speeding 15 mph over the speed limit and was served a warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court.

March 12

1:46 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the Residential College circle. A verbal warning was issued for failure to wear a seatbelt.

11:46 p.m. A caller reported the smell of marijuana at James H. Richmond Residential College. Officers were notified and an information report was taken.

March 13

12:42 a.m. An officer advised Public Safety of a possible fight in progress at Hughes and 14th Street. The altercation was determined to be verbal and an information report was taken.

11:34 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at 15th Street and University Drive. A citation was issued for failure to wear a seatbelt.

March 14

8:09 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop in the BP parking lot on Main Street. A citation was issued for failure to wear a seatbelt.

5:30 p.m. The Murray Police Department reported information in reference to unwanted sexual contact by an acquaintance to Public Safety. Officers were notified and a report was taken.
