Jan. 20

9:24 a.m. A person reported a theft of property under $500 to Public Safety. Officers were notified and a report was taken.

10:47 a.m. Parking enforcement notified officers of a motor vehicle collision on 14th and Payne Street that resulted in no injuries.

Jan. 21

12:32 a.m. A caller reported an intoxicated person at Elizabeth Residential College. Pubic Safety and Murray Ambulance Service were notified and patient refused to be transported by ambulance.

5:11 p.m. A caller reported a smoking stove in College Courts 1100 Block. Public Safety and Murray Fire Department were notified with no threat of fire.

Jan. 22

11:54 a.m. A caller reported a previously smoking dryer and a burning smell in Elizabeth Residential College. Public Safety, Central Plant, Murray Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall were notified and the cause was found to be a mechanical issue involving the washing machine.

10:33 p.m. A caller reported the smell of marijuana in James H. Richmond Residential College. Officers were notified and a report was taken.

Jan. 23

5:45 p.m. A caller reported a university policy violation in White Residential College. Officers warned individual of the policy violation and was referred to the housing department.

11:27 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop at Five Star Food Mart at Five Points. A citation was issued for operating a motor vehicle on suspended operators license. A verbal warning was issued for failure to illuminate headlights.

Jan. 24

3:40 a.m. A caller reported the smell of marijuana in Franklin Residential College. Officers were notified and a report was taken.

4:12 a.m. A caller reported a medical emergency at Regents Residential College. Public Safety, Murray Ambulance Service and Student Affairs were notified.

Jan. 25

7:20 a.m. A caller reported a non-injury motor vehicle collision at 15th and Main Street. Officers were notified.

6:37 p.m. A caller reported an item previously burned and unreported in the Old Fine Arts Building. Public Safety, Central Heating and Cooling and the State Fire Marshall were notified and there was no threat of fire.

Jan. 26

12:36 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at the CFSB Center parking lot for speeding, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to produce an insurance card. A verbal warning was also issued for expired registration.

7:26 p.m. Public Safety received a fire alarm activation notification from Hart Residential College on the alarm center computer. The Murray Fire Department, Central Heating and Cooling and the State Fire Marshall were notified. The cause was due to burnt food.
