April 9

11 a.m. Police served a warrant for a previous complaint. The person was arrested at Elizabeth Residential College and taken to the Calloway County Jail.

6:48 p.m. Public Safety and Emergency Services were notified that the National Weather Service had issued a tornado watch.

April 10

10:19 a.m. A caller reported a burning smell at Wells Hall. The police, Murray Fire Department, the state fire marshal, and Facilities Management were notified. The source of the smell could not be determined. A fire report was taken.

4:13 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at Chestnut Street. A verbal warning was issued for disregarding a stop sign.

April 11

11:29 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 16th and Main streets. A verbal warning was issued for improper display of registration plate.

11:48 a.m. A caller reported a vehicular collision in the CFSB Center parking lot. The police were notified and a collision report was taken.

April 12

1:14 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at the Five Points gas station parking lot. A citation was issued for speeding.

1:27 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at the Five Points gas station parking lot. A verbal warning was issued for no license plate displayed.

April 13

12:39 a.m. A caller reported harassment at Lee Clark Residential College. The police were notified and a report was taken.

11:06 a.m. Murray Police Department reported a medical emergency. Officers, Student Affairs and Murray Ambulance Service were notified. The person was transported by Murray Ambulance Service.

April 14

9 a.m. A caller reported burn marks in the elevator ceiling tiles at Regents Residential College. The police and the state fire marshal were notified. The burn marks were from a previously reported incident.

4:32 p.m. An officer located damaged property at Springer Residential College. A criminal mischief report for under $500 was taken.

April 15

12:03 a.m. A person reported the smell of marijuana at James Richmond residential college. The police were notified and a citation was issued for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

3:35 p.m. A caller reported theft of property at Blackburn Science Building. The police were notified and a criminal report was taken for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

April 11, 2:03 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 16th and Miller streets. A citation was issued for speeding 17 mph over the speed limit, possession of marijuana and the possession of drug paraphernalia.
