Murray State student dies at local complex

A Murray State student died Sunday morning at Campus Evolution Villages, a local apartment complex.

Daniel Azar, 20, of Paducah, Ky., was reported to emergency personnel as unresponsive during sleep.

Calloway County Coroner Rick Harris said at this time cause of death is unknown and no foul play is suspected. Autopsy and toxicology reports have been conducted, but results will not be available for about another month.

Azar was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha and majored in finance.

Murray State’s Office of Student Affairs has been notified and counseling services are available.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6 at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paducah, Ky.
