Woah. Not cool. You may want to tell Kelsey Randolph to actually read the Twitter accounts she’s writing about and if she did, then she needs some sensitivity training. I can’t believe The News (I was at Murray State from 1999-2003, and thought highly of our paper.) would endorse drivel like the @MurrayAsian Twitter feed. That Twitter feed is not funny; it’s racist.
I would love for this email to be longer, but I seriously cannot find the right words to communicate how disappointing it was to read that article on the website. I’m still in a bit of shock and disbelief. I only ask that next time you contemplate writing about a Twitter feed like that in a positive light, you think about the implications of your actions.
