Email spam sent to students

At 3:11 a.m. Tuesday, an email was sent to several students requesting personal information. The email is a hoax and was not sent out by Murray State administrators. The email was sent by

The scam, featured below, could become a real problem because the hackers can get a students private financial and academic information.

If a student responds to the email, they are encouraged to call the Helpdesk at 809-2346 and if possible to change their email password immediately.
