Rifle ranked 8th in preseason poll

The Murray State rifle team was selected eighth in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association has released 2012-13 preseason poll. Texas Christian was named preseason number one.

In all, 14 coaches voted in the poll. Murray State recorded a total of 176 points in the poll, just behind fellow OVC opponent Jacksonville State, who received 187 points and was picked seventh. TCU received 275 points, Kentucky was second (261), West Virginia came in at number three (257) with Alaska-Fairbanks (237) and Army (219) rounding out the top five.

Morehead State and Tennessee Martin came in at 19th and 20th in the poll to finish out the OVC teams in the top-20. Below is the complete top-20 poll:
