Murray State alumnus makes TV debut

Gregory Paul appeared on two Lifetime Network shows this month.

Gregory Milton, 2001 Murray State alumnus, made his national television debut this month.

Gregory Paul–Milton’s stage name, portrayed the role of Major Weller on the Lifetime Network show, “Army Wives” on Aug. 5, The episode was titled “The War At Home.”

Two weeks after landing an acting spot on “Army Wives,” Milton received a role on another Lifetime Network show, “Drop Dead Diva.”He played the role of David Kane in the episode titled “Picks & Pakes.” The episode aired on Aug. 19.

Milton has been working as a professional actor since 2010 but the two Lifetime shows are his first credits for a national audience. Milton has been in eight films, several local and regional commercials and more than 20 theatrical plays.

Milton decided to move to Florida after graduating from Murray State. When he lost his full-time job in 2010, Milton considered acting.

“It was, and still is, a big risk, to focus every bit of yourself in such an up-and-down business,” he said, “especially when you’re unemployed. But, I feel like I seized an opportunity and now it’s paying off.”
