Planters Bank of Hopkinsville, Ky., is suing Murray Businessman Charles Jones for more than $11.2 million for allegedly breaching loan agreements.
The suit, filed in Calloway Circuit Court on Aug. 20, lists the defendants as the South Eastern Book Company, Limited Liability Company; Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc.; Blackrock Investments, LLC and Jones.
The complaint alleges, on July 23, 2010, the defendants entered into a loan agreement with Planters and they have yet to follow the terms of the contract. Planters sent notices of default and demand of payment to all of the defendants, who have failed to comply.
The defendants, in total, owe approximately $11.2 million, excluding attorneys’ fees and costs, set forth in the original agreement.
David Griffin, Jones’ business partner, filed a suit earlier in the year and the suit, filed in Paducah, Ky., was dismissed on Aug. 22.
