Feb. 23

•1:13 a.m. A Murray State Police officer issued a verbal warning for disregarding a stop sign at Waldrop Drive and Chestnut Street.

•4:01 p.m. A caller reported people trick riding skateboards at Franklin College. The Murray State Police were notified and notified the persons about the University policy regarding skateboarding on campus.

•7:18 p.m. A caller reported theft of property at the Carr Health Building. An officer was notified and took a report for theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered incorrectly.

 

Feb. 24

•9:05 a.m. A caller reported theft of a laptop in the Curris Center. The Murray State Police were notified and found the laptop had been taken by CTLT for repair work.

•2:25 p.m. A caller reported identity theft. An officer was notified and, because the incident occurred off campus, the individual was referred to another jurisdiction.

•2:38 p.m. A caller reported a threat of fire in Regents College. An officer, Murray Fire Department and state fire marshal were notified.

 

Feb. 25

•2:37 a.m. The ambulance service received a call from a female regarding a medical emergency at Hart College. The Murray State Police were notified and the ambulance service responded.

•8:44 a.m. A caller reported a bird inside Lovett Auditorium. Central Plant was notified.

•6:52 p.m. An officer issued a citation to Deven Morris, non-student from Dexter, Ky., for operating a motor vehicle with no operator’s license.

 

Feb. 26

•12:06 a.m. An officer issued a verbal warning for failure to dim headlights at the Science Complex.

•4:14 p.m. A caller requested to speak with an officer about a dispute with their neighbor. The individual was referred to another jurisdiction because the dispute was off campus.

•9:38 p.m. An officer a report for third degree criminal mischief at Regents College.

 

Feb. 27

•7:32 a.m. A caller reported an illegally parked vehicle at Lee Clark College. A Murray?State ticket writer was notified.

•3:40 p.m. A caller reported theft of property at the Wellness Center. The Murray State Police were notified and took a report for theft by unlawful taking less than $500.

•5:26 p.m. A caller reported a traffic accident involving a bus and another vehicle at 15th and Olive streets. The Murray State Police and Murray Police Department were notified and took a information report.

 

Feb. 28

•8:28 a.m. A caller reported vandalism to a vehicle at Transportation Services. The Murray State Police were notified and took a report for second degree criminal mischief.

•1:33 p.m. A caller reported a noise complaint inside New Richmond College. The Murray State Police were notified, contacted the Housing Office and took an information report.

•4:18 p.m. A caller reported an accident at the roundabout at Gilbert Graves Drive. The Murray State police were notified and took an information report.

 

Feb. 29

•5:20 a.m. A caller reported a medical emergency at Hester College. The Murray State Police and Murray EMS were notified.

•7:44 a.m. An officer issued a written warning to Kelsey Dublin, graduate student from Murray, for failure to obey a stop sign and maintain insurance.

•1:48 p.m. An officer issued a citation to Mohammed Albaqami, freshman from Saudi Arabia, for failure to yield to right of way and no operator’s license.
