Jan. 19

12:33 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle in the road on the corner of North 16th and Diuguid streets. The Murray Police Department was notified.

9:48 a.m. The Murray State Police received a 911 hang up call. An officer was notified and checked the area. The caller reported they were trying to dial off campus.

11:48 a.m. A caller reported harassment in Springer College. The Murray State Police were notified and took a report for harassing communications.

 

Jan. 20

9:06 a.m. A caller reported weapons in a vehicle. The Murray State Police checked the area and spoke with the owner regarding the University’s policy on weapons on campus.

5:56 p.m. The Murray State Police issued a verbal warning for failure to illuminate headlamps near the Alumni Affairs Building.

7:10 p.m. The Murray State Police reported a grill fire in the West Kentucky Expo center. The Murray Fire Department, State Fire Marshal and Central Plant were notified.

 

Jan. 21

4:32 a.m. A caller reported an outlet sparked in a room in Franklin College. The Murray State Police, Central Plant and State Fire Marshal were notified.

9:25 p.m. A caller reported two male juveniles running in the New Fine Arts Building. The Murray State Police was notified.

11:30 p.m. The Murray State Police issued a verbal warning for careless driving on the corner of Calloway and 17th streets.

 

 

Jan. 22

11:21 a.m. The Murray State Police arrested Ignacio A. Martinez, XXX from Murray, for lack of an operator’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia and disregarding a stop sign.

5:34 p.m. A caller requested to open the Mason Hall auditorium. The Murray State Police were notified.

9:23 p.m. The Murray State Police issued a verbal warning for driving on the sidewalk in the Curris Center parking lot and took an information report.

 

Jan. 23

8:31 a.m. The Murray State Police issued a verbal warning for disregarding a stop sign at the University Square parking lot.

11:31 a.m. A caller reported they locked their keys in their car in the Franklin College parking lot. The Murray State Police were notified.

2:56 p.m. A ticket writer requested a vehicle check in Stewart Stadium parking lot. The Murray State Police were notified and issued a citation issued to Austyn Dell, XXX from Malden, Mo., for improper registration and no registration plate.

 

Jan. 24

10:01 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle with an unattended dog in it. The Murray State Police were notified and took an information report.

4:30 p.m. A caller reported a motor vehicle accident without injury in the Curris Center parking lot. The Murray State Police were notified and took a collision report.

8:27 p.m. A caller reported the smell of marijuana coming from a room in White College. An officer was notified.

 

Jan. 25

11:12 a.m. A caller reported a theft of a wallet, money and Racercard in the Curris Center parking lot. The Murray State Police were notified and took a report for theft by unlawful taking.

9:15 p.m. A caller reported a minor with possession of alcohol in White College. An officer was notified.

10:07 p.m. A caller reported there was a burned sticky note attached to a metal door. The Murray State Police were notified and took a report for criminal mischief.
