Alliance held its weekly meeting in the Curris Center Sunday night.
President Will Heath opened the meeting by discussing the group’s end-of-the-semester events.
The Racer Red Walk which is an AIDS walk will be on Dec. 1 starting at the Curris Center and ending at Lovett Auditorium. Josh Adair, assistant professor of English and philosophy, will be speaking at 5 p.m. at Lovett.
Lav Grad, for LGBT seniors graduating in December, will be 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 in the Barkley room.
The next safer sex table will be Nov. 29 in the Curris Center. Condoms, lubricants and safe-sex brochures will be given out.
The meeting ended with discussion of end of the semester awards. General assembly members nominated Alliance members for several awards, including: best diva, best hair, cutest couple, and most involved.
Awards will be presented at the group’s last meeting.
