Nov. 10

•2:21 a.m. A caller requested to check on the welfare of a student. An officer made contact with the student and took an information report.

•1:29 p.m. An officer served criminal summons to Whitney Swords, sophomore from Woodburn, Ky., for fourth degree assault.

•5:09 p.m. A caller reported the smell of gas in a room in Blackburn Science Building. An officer, the Murray Fire Department and the state fire marshal were notified.

 

Nov. 11

•8:21 p.m. A ticket writer reported a stolen permit displayed in a vehicle in the Residential Circle. An officer was notified and took a report for theft by unlawful taking less than $500 from an automobile.

•1:20 p.m. A caller reported a theft of a bicycle outside Lovett Auditorium. An officer was notified and took a report for theft by unlawful taking more than $500.

•11:56 p.m. A caller reported a noise complaint coming from the White College parking lot. An officer was notified.

 

Nov. 12

•4:30 p.m. A caller reported they locked keys inside their vehicle in the Residential Circle. An officer was notified and the officer was unable to unlock the door.

•5:51 p.m. A caller reported being harassed in New Richmond College. An officer was notified and took a harassment report.

•10:21 p.m. A caller reported possible drinking in a room in Hart College. An officer was notified and took a report for possession of alcohol by a minor.

 

Nov. 13

•12:25 a.m. An officer issued a citation to Sarah Stodghill, sophomore from Owensboro, Ky., for expired tags and no insurance card.

•1:02 a.m. A caller reported residents with marks on them from a fight in Regents College. An officer was notified and took an information report.

•11:05 a.m. A caller reported theft of property in Hester College. An officer was notified and took a report for second degree burglary.

 

Nov. 14

•9:23 a.m. A caller reported an illegally parked vehicle in Kentucky Hamilton Southeast parking lot. An officer was notified.

•1:18 p.m. The Murray Fire Department requested barricades for the sidewalk outside of Quarters Campus Grill due to a partially hanging sign. Facilities Management was notified.

•9:25 p.m. A caller reported being locked out of their car in White College parking lot. An officer was notified and was able to open the vehicle.

 

Nov. 15

12:39 a.m. A caller reported a window was accidentally broken in Hart College. An officer and Central Plant were notified.

9:58 a.m. A caller reported a stuck elevator in Blackburn Science Building with 11 people on board. An officer and Facilities Management were notified.

11:20 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle accident on 16th and Chestnut streets with injuries. The Murray Police Department, an officer and ambulance were notified.

 

Nov. 16

•1:41 p.m. The Murray State Police arrested Lauren Brandon, freshman from Murray Ky., for failure to appear in court.

•3:34 p.m. A Murray State Police officer took a collision report and issued a citation to Jimiao Zheng, junior from Murray, Ky., for failure of owner to maintain insurance, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle and no registration plates.

•5:34 p.m. A Murray State Police officer issued a verbal warning for failure to illuminate head lamps.
