Sept. 15

9:27 a.m. A caller reported seven occupants stuck on an elevator in Faculty Hall. An officer and Facilities Management were notified.

9:33 a.m. A ticket writer reported an unoccupied vehicle running in the Racer Arena parking lot. An officer notified and the owner was contacted.

1:21 p.m. A caller reported two juveniles possibly in possession of marijuana on campus. A Murray State officer was notified and reported no evidence of drugs.

Sept. 16

12:44 p.m. A caller reported an intoxicated person in Hart College. An officer was notified and, upon arrival on the scene, took an information report.

1:29 p.m. An officer arrested Joshua Sviben, freshman from Mayfield, Ky., for a warrant served from another agency.

4:43 p.m. A caller reported receiving threats at Wells Hall. An officer was notified and took a report for terroristic threatening of the third degree.

Sept. 17

1:39 a.m. A caller reported an intoxicated person on the fifth floor of Hester College. An officer was notified and arrested Devon Smith, sophomore from Evansville, Ind., for public alcohol intoxication and resisting arrest.

2:49 a.m. An officer arrested Joshua Morris, non-student from Benton, Ky., for public alcohol intoxication.

3:08 a.m. A caller reported vandalism to the fifth floor of Hart College. An officer was notified and an information report was taken.

Sept. 18

3:49 a.m. A caller reported a person left an inappropriate note on a resident’s door in Richmond College. An officer was notified and took an information report.

11:53 a.m. An officer reported a fight, with no weapons, in progress near 14th and Main streets. An information report was taken.

3:41 p.m. A caller reported theft of property at Franklin College. The Murray State Police were notified and a report was taken for theft by unlawful taking less than $500.

Sept. 19

5:47 a.m. A fire alarm was activated in Richmond College. The Murray Fire Department, an officer and state fire marshal were notified. The activation was due to steam from a hot shower. There was no fire.

10:17 a.m. A caller reported a resident smoking in an apartment at College Courts. The Murray State Police were notified and an information report was taken.

1:50 p.m. A caller reported identity theft at College Courts. The Murray State Police were notified and a report was taken for theft by deception.

Sept. 20

10:44 p.m. A caller reported a medical emergency at Federal Credit Union Bank. An officer and Murray-Calloway County Ambulance were notified and a medical report was taken.

9:29 p.m. A caller reported she was struck by a motor vehicle while in the crosswalk by White College. The Murray State Police were notified and the person refused Emergency Medical Service. An information report was taken.

10:35 p.m. Racer Patrol reported a group of individuals shooting off fireworks in the Roy Stewart Stadium parking lot. The Murray State Police were notified.

Sept. 21

11:01 a.m. A caller reported her vehicle had been vandalized in the Hart College parking lot. An officer was notified and a supplemental report was taken.

12:48 p.m. A caller reported an abandoned backpack in a parking space at University Drive. An officer was notified and the backpack was turned in.

8:37 p.m. A caller reported a smell of marijuana in Hart College. An officer was notified.

2:40 p.m. A caller reported a person juggling fire sticks at the New Fine Arts Building. The Murray State Police, Murray Fire Department and state fire marshal were notified and an information report was taken.
