August 25

  • 8:29 a.m. A caller reported found property at Quarters Campus Grill. The Murray State police were notified and retrieved the item.
  • 10:38 a.m. A caller requested a welfare check on a student at Hester College. The?Murray State Police were notified and took a report for unlawful imprisonment, second degree.
  • 9:41 p.m. An officer issued a verbal warning for failure to yield to the right-of-way on Chestnut Street.

August 26

  • 11:49 a.m. A caller reported a stolen parking permit. The Murray State Police were notified and took a report for theft by unlawful taking under $500.
  • 4:42 p.m. A caller reported an intoxicated person at Winslow Dining Hall. An officer was notified and arrested Keith Black, a non-student from New Concord, Ky., for alcohol intoxication and possession of an open container in a vehicle.
  • 10:55 p.m. A caller reported a stolen bicycle outside of Franklin?College. An officer was notified and took a report for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

August 27

  • 1:07 a.m. A caller reported three suspicious people tampering with vehicles in the 15th and Olive streets parking lot. An officer was notified and took an information report.
  • 2:48 a.m. A caller reported mulch smoldering outside of Elizabeth College. The Murray State Police, Murray Fire Department, Central Plant and the state fire marshal were notified.
  • 3:43 p.m. A caller reported graffiti sprayed on a parking sign outside of Racer Arena. An officer was notified and a report was taken for criminal mischief third degree.

August 28

  • 12:01 p.m. A caller reported theft of property at White College. An officer was notified and a report for theft by unlawful taking under $500 was taken.
  • 3:57 p.m. A caller reported an accidental opening of an exit door at Hart College. An officer was notified and, after investigating, reset the alarm.
  • 5:41 p.m. A caller reported a damage to a vehicle in the Regents College parking lot. The owner was notified and because it occurred off campus, filed a report with the Murray Police Department.

August 29

  • 4:29 a.m. A caller reported a medical emergency in Richmond College. An ambulance and an officer were notified and the person was transported to the hospital.
  • 8:17 a.m. An officer issued a verbal warning for disregarding a stop sign and having expired vehicle registration on Payne Street.
  • 10:55 a.m. A caller reported they were stuck on an elevator in Hester College. The Murray State Police and Facilities Management were notified but the caller was gone upon arrival.

August 30

  • 12:10 a.m. Racer Patrol reported an open door at Roy Stewart Stadium. The Murray State Police and Building Coordinator were notified and the door was secured.
  • 12:43 a.m. A caller reported a fight between two people at White College. The Murray State Police were notified and took an information report.
  • 12:45 a.m. A caller reported a mo-ped parked next to the door at Regents College. The owner of the mo-ped was contacted and moved.

August 31

  • 2:52 p.m. An officer was notified of a burned candle in College Courts confiscated by the Housing Office. The Murray Fire Department and state fire marshal were notified.
  • 3:51 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle lockout at the Equine Center. An officer was notified and was unable to unlock the vehicle. Horton Lock Shop was contacted.
  • 11:34 p.m. A caller reported possible alcohol use at Regents College. The Murray State Police were notified and an information report was taken.

  • 12:40 a.m. A caller reported a person throwing eggs out of a vehicle at people on the corner of 15th and Olive streets. The Murray Police Department was notified and an information report was taken.
